I'm going to start our diary entries with a big thank-you!

Amy and I have been genuinely overwhelmed by the well wishes we've received from so many people... in person, on-air and here at 929.com.au, so a big thank-you to everybody again! It's amazing how good it feels to be able to tell people we've got a little person on the way. Until Monday, we had to keep it to ourselves and that's not as easy as you might think. (If you've had a baby, disregard that, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about).

In coming weeks here and on the show I'll take you through some of the times I "almost" let it slip Amy was pregnant. Fortunately my wife's brain moves a bit quicker than mine and she was able to cover up a couple of close calls. But let me assure you guys, keeping a secret as big as this is not easy - not for me anyway.

All of that's behind us though now, our 12 week scan was great - and the Doctor gave us the all clear to tell the world, which is exactly what we've done.

If at any time during the next 6 months I become annoying, intolerable, boring, repetitive or just over the top (now he tells us, I hear you say) just let me know... I'm going to want to tell you all about how Amy's going and what the impending arrival of a little one means to us - so stop me if at any time you've had enough.

In the meantime please check back every day... Amy and I will bring you all the action, blow by blow, stretch mark by stretch mark, hormone by hormone of this journey we're very excited to be taking and very lucky to be sharing with you.

  Baz and Amy Being parents is the best feeling in the world, but by gee you will be going greyer sooner than you think, kids are one of the greatest gifts of life also one of the most stressfull things in life, Take all the support you can get as you will need it, yous will make wonderful parents

  Baz, I think it absolutely brilliant the way you mentioned you may become annoying or repetative over the comming months. Not all men are that into the whole pregnancy thing, so good on you. All the best to both you and Amy. Tell amy that she will leave her vanity at the door when the birth comes and to keep an open mind as far as pain relief goes.

  Listening thismorning I thought there was maybe a slight exaggeration on the ultrasound of baby's nose - but after seeing the pic I would be worried too!!! Looks a bit out there...hopefully it is just some booga's or something!!!

  My partner and I are having a baby, and i think this is a great idea of keeping a diary/blog of everything thats happening, you will forget what its like once he/shes out :)
