Meet the Team - Wippa

After realising they had already invented shoes with zippers, Wippa (Michael Wipfli) was forced to express his creative talents through other avenues and, in a similar way to parachuting, he just fell into radio.

Not true - after spending 26 years with no-one listening to what he had to say, Wippa decided to apply for an on air position in Port Augusta, SA, and learnt the basics of radio. Returning to Melbourne, Wippa worked on the Hamish and Andy Show at FOXFM. While working for the boys, he took on ridiculous challenges from finding out how much food you can sample at a supermarket without having to pay, to having his genitals cast in bronze. He was also lucky enough to fly to LA to interview Paris Hilton.

In 2005, Wippa became part of the national "Late Date Show" with Bessie Bardot and Richard Marsland, presenting special features and a nightly report on the dating game.
