Meet the Team - Em

Em's journey to 92.9 began one drunken night out with her girlfriends when they dared Em to try out for the 2004 series of Australian Idol. Em laughed it off and went home to bed but the next morning she received an call from one girlfriend who again harassed her to go and have a crack. Em told her friend to pull her head in and went back to bed, Scotty the love god (her ever suffering partner) said "Why don't you just go - you never know". Off she went and 50,000 competitors later, she made Idol's Top 12 and has not looked back since.

Growing up in Melbourne, Em was an over-achieving monster, competing in most sports. An elite level hurdler, Em was hopeful of an Olympic berth when she got an unexpected gift that put a small spanner in the works - her beautiful daughter Marchella!

After leaving Australian Idol moved to Perth at the end of 2005 to be part of 92.9's new breakfast show, Em & Wippa.
