Things people told you that you believed.
People often say you shouldn't believe everything you hear, but I look at it the other way, if you hear something, don’t question it's truth, tell everyone and tell them like it's gospel. In fact I live buy the rule "don't le the truth get in the way of a good story" so keeping that in mind you can make your own decision on this next "fact", fact or fiction?
Story.
Have you noticed the way the Spanish speak with a lisp? Why the rest of the world pronounce Barcelona as it’s spelt, the locals pronounce it (spelt phonetically) Basselona, yes with a terrible lisp. This is because the king at the time had a terrible lisp, the worst in the world, he never ordered the sausages when he was at his local tavern. As all the workers and servants in the palace knew the number one thing not to do was offend the king. One day the king said to a particular servants why do I sound like this and speak with a lisp when no one else dose? The servant then replied using a lisp, "I don’t know what you’re taking about we all sssssssssssssound the same."
From then on the entire palace and everyone who met the king put on a lisp so the king wasn’t offended. The trend caught on and before you knew it the entire nation spoke with a lisp, which is why the Spanish pronounce Barcelona, Basselona. You’ve got to love a lisp.
Another fact is that the music artist Seal got the scar on his face when a car drove passed as he was walking, the driver through and actual seal out the window and it’s flipper cut his face open. That’s how he got the name Seal. Fact.
