Have You Ever Bought Something of the TV?

It amazes me what you can buy on the TV these days. I know a lot of people refer to the very famous "set of steak knives" that could cut through a shoe as the ultimate infomercial item. Brilliant! I'm so sick of finishing my meal and then not being able to chop the end off my shoe.
Well that's what I thought UNTIL I saw the Areogarden advertised on TV - some bloke telling me that he'd spent 4 years inventing a basic hydroponics set up that can grow a lettuce in 36 days when you can by one at the shop for 90c.
This is why I was so shocked when my mum said "Geez that looks handy." Who would really buy this? Well my mum, but is this something you'd be interested in, doesn't make sense to me; is there anyone out there that's actually bought one? What do you think? Whats the worst thing you've ever bought? I'd love to know...

i bought pro active. it was crap, it made the skin where i had no pimples all nice but it made the area that needed clearing worse. i was very disappointed. i would love to know if pro active has actually worked for anyone (thats not featured in the ad)

I bought pro active too and it was terrible! It worked for about a week and then it made my skin all dry and flakey and started peeling! I don't need to pay 2 easy payments of $34.95 to make my skin look like that. Terrible.

Re : your comment Jaz, on Pro Active.
I too bought it, thinking that it would clear up my skin, but my problem areas got worse and where I had one pimple, now I had like 5 or 6.
I cancelled it ASAP, coz really does not live up to the endless ads that are on about it !!

re: proactive
I use proactive and it works really well for me, but I don't use the toner unless I have a breakout.
It took about a month of using it for it to finally clear all of my acne... I swear by it!
