Red Head Racism Em & Wippa 8 August, 2008 - 3:12 PM

It say Sorry Ranga's Day on the 10th the question is, are we being racist towards red headed people? Are you a red head to you find it offensive when people poke fun at you or do you take as a joke?

Or are you someone who regularly takes the piss out of red heads, do you think they are fair game. And what about people who are on the end of traditional racism abuse (Asian Black etc.) do you find yourself poking fun at red heads

  I'm with Murf on this I shouldn't but I can't help it. But I can see how people would be upset by it. I suppose at least they can dye their hair you can't dye skin.

  My mother is a red head. My younger sister is a read head. I'm a brunette with a wonderful loving son who is a red head too. I don't see people calling red heads "rangas" as something that is anymore wrong than calling someone a idiot. I don't think it becomes a problem until someone's feelings are hurt and then you don't listen to the person you hurt, that's when you become a bully. I often joke with my hubby that we have 2 gorgeous apes...1 ranga and 1 chimp.
