5-Year-Old Cancer Patient Given Superhero Funeral
Five-year-old Brayden Denton sadly lost his battle with cancer earlier this month.
He was a massive Superhero fan, so his mother Staci decided to have a Superhero funeral to say goodbye to him.
Brayden had been fighting brain cancer since diagnosed in April last year.
"He'd always had some superhero in him," Staci told a local television station.
"I felt like I was honoring him in a way that if he was looking down on us, he would be really happy."
Brayden's uncle Cory dressed as Thor for the funeral, and said that everytime her watches a Superhero movie, he'll be with his nephew.
“He’s always here with me, and I’ll always watch them with him because he is always with me.”
The family want to raise awareness for Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, which is terminal for 100% of patients.
"This cancer does not have a survival rate," Cory said. "Even leukemia is survivable. This one is not."
