I LOVE a celebrity birthday party, and I reckon Hugh Jackman takes the cake… Literally!
Over the weekend, he threw himself a birthday party with 4,500 guests, who had to pay to attend. But don't worry, he didn't pocket the cash. With the proceeds he raised at the door - all $1.85 million of it - he donated it to the Motion Picture and Television Fund, because it offers "that unconditional helping hand you get in a family." The organisation provides health care and benefits to entertainment-industry workers and retirees.
It was a 45th birthday to remember, held Saturday at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre, where he put on a spectacular show, with singing dancing and told stories for 'One Night Only.' Complete with a 17 piece orchestra, hits of broadway, the movies and an incredible tap dancing routine during "Singin' In The Rain."
