Uber Release The Feature We've All Been Waiting For

Stress no more - you can finally pre-book an uber for that early morning airport ride!

The ride-sharing company has rolled out its new scheduled rides feature in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth today - landing another blow in their fight against the taxi industry.

“Scheduled rides is the top-requested feature from our riders, especially for times like early morning trips to the airport,” Uber says in a statement.

Typically, if one were to try and get an Uber early in the morning they would have to book at the time of their trip and hope for the best.

Now, passengers can pre-order a car to arrive between 30 minutes and 30 days in advance.

Notifications are sent both 24 hours and 30 minutes before a scheduled trip, with another reminder 5 minutes before the driver is dispatched.

The ability to pre-book a car in advance has often been a major selling point for taxis, but with this new service Uber could well convert a few customers.
