Explosion In New York City, At Least 26 People Injured

The incident happened in the Chelsea neighbourhood.

An explosion has rocked a New York City neighbourhood and has seen 26 people injured.

A dumpster was blown up outside the 14-storey Associated Blind Housing Facility, which shattered the windows of the lower floors.

Witnesses have described the explosion as a ‘deafening boom’.

Police have reportedly found one explosive device, and are currently searching for a second one.

Earlier, a small bomb went off in a beach town in New Jersey. No one was injured, however authorities cancelled a road race as a precaution.
