Fair to say there was absolutely no heartbreak where Aidan Shiels was concerned.

The Heartbreak City co-owner was filmed as his horse surged to finish second in the 2016 Melbourne Cup.

What came next was one of the greatest post-event interviews you'll see.

The Irishman was ecstatic, despite his horse being pipped at the post, celebrating with his fellow co-owners.

He then turns his attention to interviewer Neil Kearney, taking him down in a gigantic hug.

"I don't care! I don't care!" he screams, despite finishing second. "We would have been happy with last!"
