Bieber Fever Hits Sydney Posted by Carlie 26 April, 2010 - 12:57 PM
So unless you have been living under a huge rock you should know who Justin Bieber is.
He flew into Sydney over the weekend, was mobbed at the airport by hundreds of screaming fans, appeared on Sunrise this morning and is coming into our studios tomorrow!
That's right - we get to meet the Biebster!
Check out the vid above of his fans waiting ever so quietly before his appearance on Sunrise.
Did you see it? What was it like?

A friend and i got to the circular quay location at 430 and it was packed, the gates werent ment to open till 5 but apprently they open around 3. I dont see why they are making such a big deal about it been dangerous, when mosh pits at concerts where far worse then this morning, it really annoys me how he was only aloud to sing one song insde, and even then we couldnt hear him from there. I still have mega bieber fever, but today wouldve been alot better if it was orgainised properly, sunrise knew it was going to be big, yet they say they had no idea, even though they have been advertising for it and saying it would be big.

My friend and I got there at 5:3O and when we were walking towards the stage everyone was saying it was cancelled. i didnt want to believe it because i was MAJORLY excited for today.. but it was true. People were screaming and crying and running all over the place. My best friend and i were devestated! And on the way home we got a call saying Justin was performing on Sunrise... we hurried home so fast to see it! WE LOVE JUSTIN DREW BIEBER! Cannot wait till he comes back later this year!

I arrived at 10:15am with 3 very excited girls aged 13 and 14. There was about 50 people camping out. My older daughter phoned me at 1:00am to let me know she had just arrived with 3 friends and another parent. The place just started to influx with teenagers, by 2:30am girls broke out into a fight. Two police cars arrived about 20min later. 3:30am the baracades were pushed down.I went in to fetch my girls. I found 2 of them, sent them out. A young girl collapsed beside me. I asked the teenagers to get some help. Police arrived and took the girl. My mobile rang and my daughter was frantic and told me she was stuck in the crowd and couldn't get out. I went in to find her after being pushed, shoved and elbowed. I found them. The lack of police and security to monitor the crowd was very inadequate. Around 4:45am a man entered the stage he tried to talk with the crowd but eventually we were told that the concern was cancelled. About 10 mins later they had the big camera on a boom activated. This set the teenagers into another frenzy. They had cameras talking to the kids, which made the kids all scramble to the cameras. I couldn't understand if the concert had been cancelled and they were concerned about safety for the teenagers then why keep the cameras on. Just after 6am a huge number of police finally arrived to move the teenagers along. I left at 6:45am with very sad and disappointed girls. If they had a bit more staff and security this could have been prevented. I was very disappointed.
