I'll have to firstly admit that as a guy, movies about convincing that hard headed person that you can dance and/or sing don't immediately strike my fancy.

Upon hearing that the trailer for the musical Burlesque was released featuring Christina Aguilera, well, I just had to have a look.

It's got the essentials; a small town girl trying to make it in the big smoke, experiences of rejection, and of course, proving everyone wrong.

Look out for Cher playing said hard headed person, and of course, a lot of corsets and fishnets. Dangerous curves ahead.

Fellas, look at this as an opportunity to score brownie points with your better half.

Burlesque is set to hit Australian cinemas Boxing Day 2010.
