Eminem and Rihanna Music Video Targets Domestic Violence Posted by Jason 6 August, 2010 - 9:58 AM

We can't warn you enough about how intense the music video for Eminem and Rihanna's Love The Way You Lie is.
Starring Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan (you may remember him from TV's Lost), there are themes of domestic violence, an issue that Rihanna found herself confronted by not too long ago.
Fox has also reportedly donated her appearance fee to Sojourn House, a shelter established to help women affected by domestic violence.
Warning
The video contains scenes and language that may distress some viewers.

Heart wrenching song with such a powerful meaning. Well done on Eminem & Rhianna on confronting something that people would rather not face. I am a survivor!!!

The video captures the intensity of emotions and the destructive nature of this type of extremely volatile relationship. As a victim of domestic violence I flinch when i see this video. Its too painful. What we don't really see is her trying to pacify him..or trying to walk on egg shell so as not to anger him in any way. In this way I can't relate to the video because Megan actually seems to hit back and doesn't seem to fear him.

I am applauding the fact that Rhianna and Eminem have made a hit song about such a "hush hush" subject. Too many women are dying because of the malady in society. I nearly did but got a second chance.
Kind regards

It is unfortunate that domestic violence exists but I have a serious problem with the Fox and the Dirts emotional promotion of this song.
Everyone was quick to condemn Chris Brown for what he did which is understandable, but even when he showed true remorse most stations took it a step further and removed his music from airplay.
Rihannas has shown total hypocrisy to choose to sing with Eminem who is a woman-basher and has tenancies of murder.
In his song When Im gone, Eminem clearly sings Then turn right around in that song and tell her you love her and put hands on her mother, who's a spitting image of her That's Slim Shady, yeah baby, Slim Shady's crazy Shady made me, but tonight Shady's rocka-by-baby...
So clearly Eminem beats up his wife Kim..It becomes more alarming when in his song Cleaning out my closet Eminem states I look at Hailie and I couldn't picture leavin' her side, even if I hated Kim, I grit my teeth and I'd try, to make it work with her at least for Hailie's sake, I maybe made some mistakes but i'm only human, but i'm man enough to face them today, what I did was stupid, no doubt it was dumb, but the smartest shit I did was take them bullets out of that gun, cause id'a killed 'em, shit I would have shot Kim and him both
Eminem beats up and has murder tenancies towards Kim but Rehanna, as a hypocrite, and with all that she went through, sings with Eminem clearly knowing that he is 1000 times worse than Chris Brown.. maybe Eminem and this song should be totally removed from the airwaves.
