Amy Winehouse punched fan in "self-defence" - video Music 30 June, 2008 - 8:00 AM

Amy Winehouse's set at the Glastonbury festival over the weekend packed a punch, quite literally. While performing her smash hit 'Rehab', the troubled singer lashed out at a fan in the front row - see the video below.

But festival organiser Michael Eavis has defended Winehouse's actions, telling NME magazine the punter "deserved it - he put his hands on her breasts!"

The incident marred what was largely seen by fans as a brilliant return to form for the singer who was diagnosed with the early stages of emphysema last week.

"You don't even know how happy I am to be here tonight. I feel like they should make up a new word in the dictionary for happy, and have a picture of me there," she exclaimed between songs.

She alsmost made mention of her busty figure-hugging dress, saying "It took three women to get me into this dress. What is about women? It takes us 'nuff time to get dressed, but pow, no time at all to get undressed."
