Madonna’s getting political, y’all!
The other night while she was up on stage performing in Bucharest in Romania, she announced how sad she is that Gypsies are discriminated against in eastern Europe.
But apparently the 60,000 people in the crowd at the concert care not for political commentary, because they booed her. Booo gypsies, booo!
Either they hate gypsies, or they just really wanted to hear another song already.
We’re starting to worry a little bit about Madonna. It’s time for us to intervene with our own special brand of bluntness. We have something important to say, Mads. So if you have a second, maybe you could put down baby Mercy and your protein shake, and listen? Ok, good.
YOU ARE NOT ANGELINA JOLIE.
Sorry darlin, but it’s true. Yes, you both have crazy sticking-out arm veins like The Hulk, but that doesn’t mean you’re the same person. Seriously, the Angelina impersonations have to stop.
We know Angie is pretty much worshipped around the world for her United Nations speeches and trips to the third world, and for having twenty adopted babies and Brad Pitt, while you … well, people think you seem kind of mean.
Back in the day you were the one publishing books about sex and putting out raunchy songs. Now everyone’s talking about Angelina instead. Not only do girls want to make out with her, she’s a humanitarian too.
It totally makes sense that you would want to be beloved like Angie. But getting all single white female and trying to turn into Angelina won’t solve the problem.
It starts out fine, just adopting a few African babies here and there. But then all of a sudden you’re trying to get all political and bring world peace with the power of your celebrity. Except instead of talking at United nations Committee meetings, you’re doing it in front of a bunch of Romanians who boo you.
And that’s just sad, don’t you think?
